Transportation Tomorrow Workshop Presentation now Available.

Early survey results from an FTA funded project were presented to the public at the Transportation Tomorrow workshop on May 21st. Data presented was taken from a random phone survey of 300 residents in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. The results will be combined with results from related surveys to create a Regional Transit Assessment Toolkit. The online survey portion of the project was open through May 31st at www.transportationtomorrow.com. Click here to view the presentation. Groundbreaking of Green Maintenance and Operations Facility

Congressman Tom Perriello, Mayor Dave Norris, and other officials break ground at the new CTS facility on Avon Street Extended

CTS just broke ground on a new maintenance and operations facility at 1545 Avon Street Extended, just south of the City of Charlottesville. Attended by officials including U.S. Congressman Tom Perriello and Mayor Dave Norris, the March 9 ground breaking marks the start of a project to update CTS’ operational capabilities.

Part of a broader green vision for public transportation in Charlottesville, the new facility is expected to be substantially complete by summer 2010, with site occupation by fall 2010. Click Here to read more.
