Take the Clean Commute Pledge! Join us for the 25th annual Clean Commute Day in the Central Virginia region, Friday, May 1st, 2015.

Pledge to use an alternative to driving alone at least one day this spring. You'll be entered to win prizes including two tickets on Amtrak's Northeast Regional Service good for travel to any location along the route from Charlottesville to Boston.


Charlottesville Area Transit is making it easy for you to try something new by offering free rides all day for Clean Commute Day!

You are also invited to our celebration on Friday, May 1st at the Community Chalkboard on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Representatives from RideShare, JAUNT, UTS and CAT will be there providing information and giveaways.


Service Providers

CAT CAT (434 970-3649) provides daily bus service for Charlottesville and portions of Albemarle County.
JAUNT JAUNT (434-296-3184) offers commuter routes and door-to-door bus service in Albemarle, Buckingham, Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Louisa, and Nelson.
RideShare (434-295-6165) finds carpool matches for commuters, runs the Guaranteed Ride Home Program, and markets the region's 22 Park & Ride lots.
UTS UTS (434-924-7711) operates bus service in and around the grounds of the University of Virginia.
Greene County Transit Greene County Transit (434-985-5205) offers commuter routes, inter-county transit, and paratransit serving Greene County.
